Animoto for Education - Bringing your classroom to live

Animoto: A web application that produces videos from user-selected photos and music- Wikipedia

Animoto generates professional looking videos by running user-selected still images and music through a Cinematic Artificial Intelligence engine. End users upload image files, sort them, select certain images to "spotlight," select a final video length and audio file. The soundtrack can come from the Animoto library or the user's own library. The engine converts the separate images into a single video with a soundtrack, generating animated transitions from picture to picture, influenced by the music selected. Each resulting video is unique.
Animoto has many features of a Web 2.0 tool: 1) Animoto uses the Web as its platform; 2) end users are both the consumers and the producers of content; 3) it allows for a rich user experience; 4) the service is "people to people"; 5) Animoto employs a self-service model to generate the end product; 6) it publishes content; 7) it thrives on its openness; and 8) users are able to interact on the site by using data manipulation, sharing, and retrieval.
